I have a new toy! No, not the kids…me! Radio Flyer has just introduced the Smooth Rider, a scooter targeted towards teens (or experienced riders 6+) with an super smooth ride and a classic, retro design! Teenagers are basically adults in a size sense right? So why can’t mom have one? I have been riding the Smooth Ryder for a few weeks now and being that we live across the street from a park, it makes it quite easy for Big Pea and I to hop on our scooters and go for a ride. I even jumped it off a curb…I know, I know, I’m like the rockin’-est (is that a word?) mom ever!
About the Radio Flyer Smooth Rider
Experienced riders will appreciate the smooth and comfortable ride of the Smooth Rider, along with the wider and longer deck for easy foot placement! The Smooth Rider comes equipped with hand and foot brakes for additional control and of course pulling off some serious tricks and the classic look makes for a sweet ride…even for mom!
I have had so much fun riding the Smooth Rider, in fact my husband laughs at me every time I jump on it, but I can’t help myself! I love that it folds flat in about 2 seconds flat for easy storage and travel and also features an adjustable handlebar. The deck of the scooter is wood with grips to ensure mom doesn’t fall and it’s lightweight so even mom can tote it around no problem! The smooth rider offers a larger sized scooter for experienced riders that includes features for the taller sect. I’m thinking this may be a fun gift for the hubby on Father’s Day, as I’ve seen him sneak mine a few times!
Radio Flyer Skoot 2 Skate
Radio Flyer has also recently introduced the Scoot 2 Skate, a beginners skateboard offering a 2-in1 value! The Scoot 2 Skate offers an authentic skateboard with real skateboard trucks and with a few turns of a wrench, the included handlebar turns the skateboard into a scooter. Rated for ages 3-8, the Scoot 2 Skate offers a wood deck with a non-skid surface for safety and cool graphics underneath!
Big Pea was very excited when the Scoot 2 Skate arrived and was eager to jump on. Before we could begin I had to remove a few screws from the top of the skateboard in order to attach the handlebar. The idea behind the handlebar is that young children can get a firm grasp on balance and control before they switch to skateboard mode. Once balance and control have been mastered, parents can simply remove the handlebar and full skateboard functionality is possible. Due to the fact that you have to remove and replace four screws, this is not a change and go operation and takes a few minutes for the switch to happen. We are still currently in Scoot mode and hope to graduate to skateboard mode with a little more practice.
It’s nearly impossible to go wrong with any Radio Flyer product. They’ve been around and dominated the market for a number of years (93 to be exact) and I know when I purchase Radio Flyer items that I’m buying a quality product that our family will have for a long time. Another aspect of Radio Flyer that I love is that you can purchase replacement parts for all of their products! So if you accidentally lose a screw or land a wicked jump on their scooter and break something, you can simply visit their website and replacement parts at your fingertips, eliminating the need to run out and buy it all over again! That rocks!

Cat @ 3 Kids and Us
We have both of these products (thanks to Radio Flyer) and absolutely love them. My littlest one has been begging to convert the scoot 2 skate to the skateboard but she needs to learn to balance a little bit more before we go there.
Shop with Me Mama
Oh my that is sleek! I would love that too! LOL! Looks like a blast! But then my son would take it from me, or try to! Great review 🙂

I dont blame you, that looks like so much fun! I would def. be riding it all over and having a blast, but then again I am a huge kid at heart! I think the skoot to skate is a really neat idea. I have an 8yr and 5yr who really want to try out a skateboard but I think this may be a good way to start. Thanks for sharing!
Simply Being Mommy
Looks like this mom needs to get her a new toy 🙂 Awesome review!
The Shopping Mama
I'm laughing at the image of you scooting around town on your Smooth Rider! But, it sounds like fun.
My son would love the Scoot 2 Skate, but he's not the most coordinated so I wonder how he'd do on it.

I can't wait until my kids are a little bit bigger for that Scoot 2 Skate. Looks like load of fun!
