When I was a little girl I remember going to a friends house for a playdate and she had a play kitchen. To me, it was magical, fairy-tale like and I just HAD to have one. Perhaps I shouldn’t tell you that my magical fairytale moment turned into nothing more than a self made kitchen made from a cardboard box and although it was fantastic that we made it ourselves, it wasn’t exactly “fairtytale-like”, if you know what I mean!
The magical kitchen that I saw that day never quite left me and when I had two little girls of my own, I knew that one day a beautiful play kitchen would arrive in their playroom at some point.
The problem with becoming an adult is that you research everything before you buy! So for months I have read reviews, shopped at multiple website and asked friends what their recommendations would be, in an effort to find that magical, fairy-tale-like kitchen that’s just right for my girls and I’m happy to report that we have found it! What little girl wouldn’t love this Kidcraft Pink Vintage Kitchen
KidKraft Pink Vintage Kitchen
Cook up some fun with the Kidkraft Pink Vintage Play Kitchen! This wooden toy kitchen includes a soft pink design with vintage features just like you remember. The microwave, oven, cabinet, refrigerator, and freezer doors open, so your child can collect, cook, and store all of their kitchen accessories! The Pink Vintage Play Kitchen is packed with tons of storage space to keep your childs playroom clean and organized!
When the boxed arrived, my first impression was “I need help to drag this into the living room”..it was really heavy! Once I opened the box and looked at the pieces neatly layed out and organized, I was certain that this was going to be more of a piece of furniture that would remain with us for some time, rather than just a toy that would be tossed out a few months down the road! From the beautifully organized hardware pack that was neatly packaged inside to the way the holes were drilled into the wood panels, it’s quite obvious that KidKraft equals quality!
That’s One Pretty Hardware Pack!
Putting the kitchen together proved to be a bit of a task and although it was’nt difficult to understand, it did take a few hours to pull the kitchen together with all of the panels and screws. Building this “play” kitchen was more like putting together cabinets, but once built we were all in love!
There’s plenty of space to store play food and cookware and all of the cabinets and doors open and close with ease. the knobs on the stove make a “clicking” sound, so that little chef’s can really feel like their imitating mom and dad! The kitchen itself is a bit short, and although my 2 1/2 year old is the perfect height for this kitchen, my nearly six year old towers over it a bit. I would suggest this kitchen for children 4 and under.
We spent hours…quite literally…playing restaurant, as the girls took turn being the head chef at a quaint cafe inside Disneyland…c’mon get your imagination working here! The KidKraft Vintage Kitchen is a big hit in our house and I know it will be in yours too!

That’s one of the cutest play kitchen sets EVER! I’m an I Love Lucy (vintage TV show) fan and so this really appeals to me. 🙂 I would love a life-size version for me, lol.

That’s an awesome play kitchen set! I’d like to see it in a neutral color for boys. My youngest has been all about playing kitchen lately.
