Mom’s are busy…that’s just a simple fact. I could go through a laundry lists of the tasks mom’s perform everyday, however, many of you reading this post are mom’s and you know first hand what being a mom entails. It’s a lovely job and one that I wanted for many years before my little one’s arrived, but it’s also a job that leaves me with little time to make meal time shine!
I’m going to assume your feeling the same way right about now…
Finding a balance of the food pyramid on days where your a little slim on time can prove to be quite the chore, and I’m certainly guilty of offering up a cup of chocolate pudding and a less than nutritional bag of chips (gasp!). A small list of quick and easy meal ideas and preperation tips are all you need to keep little one’s on track and you on your game!
There is one giant bag that I keep in my freezer that not only the kids love, but mom loves too and that’s Tyson Chicken Nuggets! I’ve personally been a chicken nugget fan for years now..well, ok, like 29 years now..and my girls have followed suit. There has been a few times that I’ve picked up a different brand of chicken nuggets while at the store and they are just simply NOT the same! Tyson Chicken Nuggets have a distinct and exceptional taste and they are the ONLY brand we purchase! But we love Tyson Chicken Nuggets for many more reason than just taste~
Tyson Chicken Nuggets are:
– 100% Natural
– No Artifical Ingredients
– No preservatives
– No Fillers
– 0g of Trans Fat
– Great Value (nearly 2lbs of chicken nuggets for just $4.99)
Now for some Meal Preperation Tips:
Have Staple Items on hand – Staple items such as Tyson Chicken Nuggets can certainly help you on days where your slim on time and finding great tasting, good for you foods that can be kept in the freezer, will allow you to whip up a healthy meal in a flash!
Create a Cheat Sheet – Make a list of items that you keep on hand and below the list, create 5-10 meals that are quick and easy. For instance, I always have a can of corn (easily microwavable) in my cabinet and chicken nuggets or fish sticks in the freezer. Top it off with some fresh fruit from the fridge or an apple and meal time is a success!
Utilize the Internet – I cannot tell you how many times I’ve turned to the internet when I was slim on time. Google words such as “quick meals” or “easy dinner” and you’ll have thousands of choices at your fingertips!
Clean Your Utensil Drawer – This sounds silly, but I can tell you that I spend a ridiculous amount of time searching through my utensil drawer, while cooking. By donating the unused items and straightening the drawer up just a bit, you can save time and energy and focus on quick meal preperation.
Utilize your Leftovers – This is a big time saver for many families across the globe. If you have left over pasta sauce, toss in a ziploc and freeze it! Just last night I made tacos and had quite a bit of ground beef left over, so I quickly tossed together some enchiladas and dinner time tonight will be easy-peasy!
With a little time-saving preparation and a few small ideas from this “not-so-June-Cleaver-like” mom, busy days will shortly become just a little bit easier! Don’t forget to stock up on Tyson Chicken Nuggets and use it as your “go-to” meal for the kids!

My toddler & I both love chicken nuggets, haha. I have used all of the tips you listed and I feel that mealtime is MUCH simpler now. If we have leftovers, we either freeze them or try to incorporate them into a meal later in the week. Also, have a list of meals has been a great help when I am lacking inspiration. Great post!
