When Big Pea started pre-school a few years ago, I sent an array of differently “themed” napkins in her lunchbox and on the back of the napkin I would always write an “I Love You” or a silly face note, so that when she opened her lunch box she would know that mommy was thinking of her, even when I wasn’t there physically. Now that Lil’ Pea has recently started pre-school, I have continued that same tradition and it’s something that she looks forward to during lunch time!
Rice Krispies knows that I’m not the only mom who sends notes in their child’s lunchbox and they’ve created new packaging for individually wrapped Rice Krispies Treats that allows you to write your special note or picture right on the package! The Rice Krispies Treats bars themselves, haven’t changed a bit and still contain that ooey gooey goodness that you’ve come to expect and just 90 calories per bar! The only thing that’s changed is the ability to send a little bit of love in your child’s lunchbox and what mom doesn’t love that?
I think the new packaging can serve other purposes as well, such as party favors for birthday parties! Simply have your child write “Thank You” right on the packaging and give them out at the party! It’s a great way to add a personal touch, while saying thank you at the same time! I also snuck one in my husband’s lunch a few days ago, with a special note and when lunchtime rolled around, he called me and said how much it meant to him! Now..do you think it would be strange to leave a few out for my UPS man?
What ideas do you have for the new “writable” packaging? Rice Krispies Treats with the New “writable” packaging are available now at your local grocer!

Passing them out as party favors is a great idea! Maybe I’ll suggest these to my boss. She can use them as a cute thank you note to her employees. Although, I’d rather a raise. =)

Mmm. What a yummy and fun idea. My boys love when I leave little notes for them. This would be great for many occassions, just can’t think of any right now, lol.

My son loves Rice Krispie treats so these would be really cool. He would love to have a personal message written on his snack. I need to look into these for him. Thanks for sharing and for the great review.
