I’ve always loved my mother’s chicken parmesan and when she told me she was moving out of town, I knew my chicken parmesan days were numbered! Truth be told I’m not the greatest cook in the world and with just about everyone in my family being “chef” material, I wonder what on earth happened in the gene pool that made me such a bad cook!
The day of course arrived and I had to say goodbye to my mom and my her chicken parmesan. Since then, I have called her every night (quite literally..and mom I know your laughing right now) asking her how to cook and what on earth to do with the food I have.
Thankfully she’s a great teacher!
One night, after a busy day, I called her and said I have chicken nuggets (Tyson of course), some pasta, pasta sauce and mozerella cheese…figure out what the heck I can do with that and call me back! I, of course, being the bad chef that I am, didn’t put two and two together and she immediately said “make chicken parmesean”!
With chicken nuggets?
So I listened as she told me a very simple recipe that I now use all the time and when I say simple, I mean really simple!
Chicken Parmesan Recipe using Tyson Chicken Nuggets
– Place 10-15 Tyson Chicken Nuggets in the bottom of a baking dish
– Cover with Marinara Sauce (I of course, use jarred)
– Sprinkle Mozerella Cheese over the top
Bake at 350 deg. for 20-30 minutes. 5 minutes before baking is through, sprinkle more mozerella cheese on top. Serve over pasta (I prefer Penne)!
That’s it!
With just a few simple items that I thought I couldn’t do a thing with, I (with the help of mom) made Chicken Parmesan fit for a king! The best news is that the kids love it and if your short on time, the preparation time is very minimal! Remember to use Tyson Chicken Nuggets to make your chicken parmesan extra flavorful.
Happy Cooking!
