The Superbowl is quickly approaching, and albeit not my favorite day of the year (I prefer the day when those tiny, little cream filled eggs end up in a tinsel filled basket), I do look forward to the commercials. I’m not a die hard football fan, nor do I “pick” a team. Truth be told, I don’t wear those funny little foam hands with one little finger sticking up and I don’t even own a tailgate bbq. I do however, appreciate the sport, the players within it and that one Sunday a year where we get the opportunity to enjoy an overabundance of mini quiche, while enjoying “outside of the box” commercials!
This year, I’ll be keeping my eye on Hyundai’s commercials, considering the recent compact car conspiracy theories. It has been said that consumers are being brainwashed into purchasing compact cars and i’m more than a little interested to find out what this “conspiracy theory” thing is all about.
In an effort to spread the word about compact car conspiracy theory, Hyundai has introduced a few short online films that have my interest peeked! Just check out this sheep driving a car for example..
If your interested wasn’t peeked by the driving sheep, just check out the subliminal message coming from this compact car….
There is a total of 10 short films leading up to the Superbowl and at least 2 will be introduced on Superbowl Sunday. You can check out two other videos here and here. What do you think? Is there a conspiracy theory?

Hi Candace,
The Compact Car Conspiracy campaign has some new ads. Here’s a recent 80s-flavored mash-up ad post Super Bowl. See: bit.ly/compactmash The ad uses an assemblage of footage of vintage/retro compact car ads. No sheep just a few dogs, a horse, padded shoulders, a cowboy and some moonwalking!
