Under the Sea, under the sea! Down where it’s wetter, down where it’s better…take it from me that the Disneyland Resort is preparing for a soundsational summer! 3 new attractions are set to launch this spring including The Little Mermaid: Ariels Undersea Adventure, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, and Star Tours: The Adventure Continues!
The Little Mermaid: Ariels Undersea Adventure
Set to open June 3, 2011, The Little Mermaid attraction is part of the expansion at Disney’s California adventure park. The expansion will eventually also include a 12-acre Cars land set to launch in 2012! “Get ready for an all-new voyage with one of Disney’s most beloved characters, Ariel. The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will invite guests to take a journey under the sea to experience all the fun and adventures in Ariel’s world. From the great songs to state-of-the-art animatronics and special effects, guests will become a part of her world in a way that’s never happened before”.
Ursula has recently “moved in” to the Little Mermaid attraction, and I have to say that she is one of the most life-like animatronics figures I have seen to date. Here’s a sneek peek…
Mickey’s Soundsational Parade
Set to premier on May 27, 2011, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade will delight visitors with a vibrant array of colors, your favorite Disney characters, and thrilling rhythms with bold percussion. Live musicians will kick it up a notch, while Disney characters will rally the crowd to jump up and join in the fun! It’s sure to be a “Soundsational” hit!

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
Opening June 3, 2011, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will thrill visitors with an adventure into the deep, dark corners of the universe! The new attraction will be located in Tomorrowland, taking guests on interstellar adventures to Coruscant, Tatooine, and other destinations in the “Star Wars” galaxy. The best part? It’s in 3D!
May the force be with you!
