I have been a long time fan of the hit Showtime series, Weeds, for some time now. In fact, I ordered season 1 and 2 from Netflix and stayed up all night because I just couldn’t stop watching. The story line is just plain weird and certainly not a story line that anyone has thought of before. Trust me when I say that a mom who’s job it is to oversee a hydroponics garden, and ensure that her growing lights are in exactly the right position, makes for a show that you just cannot stop watching. Yes, it’s terrible, but true.
Now, her mothering skills are ridiculously awful, and I’m not ranting to share my thoughts on the morality of the show, but rather to share my disappointment with season 6. What in the world happened to writer, Jenji Kohan? This writer was either blindsided by her sudden fame, or just plain ran out of ideas. Either way, Season 6 of Weeds wasn’t worth the time it took to add it to my Neflix cue, and it couldn’t have been more disheartening. I could have purchased my own aeroponic system to grow flowers or vegetables, shared it with all of you, and it would have been more entertaining than this season.
Season 6 gets a big thumbs down from me! Anyone else with me on this one?

I, too, just finished watching Season 6 and I fully agree with you! Hopefully Showtime (not HBO) will give the show a kick in the ass and Season 7 will be better.

LOL thanks! I too am hoping season 7 will pack a little more punch!

I started watching a week ago and I’m already to season 4 and I, personally, already see it going down hill a bit. It was way more entertaining before the fires.
I love that this show has absolutely no boundries and you can never predict its next move.

i laughed a lot but i definitely wasn’t impressed.
i am still a Weeds lover though 😉
