For the majority of my adult life there has been a plastic bag that has remained in my closet filled with old VHS tapes. I have sworn a million times that I’m going to convert them to DVD’s, however its a passing thought that I have never put into action. I did research the process online…once. What I found is that I would have to send my treasured family memories out of the country and hope that they made an unscathed exit and return. It was a gamble that I wasn’t ready to take and I hoped that with a little time, I would find a better alternative.
My waiting finally paid off.
GoPhoto is a U.S. scanning facility out of sunny California that recently launched in 2010. Founders, Sean, John, and Stephen, wanted to share their old memories with family across the country, but quickly realized how arduous the process of digitizing old family memories was.
So, How Does it Work?
Simply send in your photos, slides, negatives and/or home videos to GoPhoto. You can track your shipment via UPS so that you always know just where your treasured family memories are. Once they arrive at the GoPhoto studio, the company will go to work scanning your memories. They’ll even include image enhancement, providing color adjustments, as well as scratch and dust removal if needed. Once ready, you can view & manage your albums online and pay only for the images you keep. GoPhoto will then return your originals along with a free CD/DVD. You can even share with friends and family online with just one click!
Our Thoughts
We found the process to be very simply and hassle-free. We filled out a short form online, packed our box, and printed out a pre-paid shipping label provided by the company. The company notified us by email when our package was picked up by UPS and when our package arrived at their facility. Within a few short days, we received an email stating that our order was ready and we paid online with just a few simple clicks. The entire process took very little time, and we were impressed by the customer service! We will continue to use GoPhoto to preserve our memories and have already recommended them to everyone we know.
Ready to Go?
You can get started now by visiting GoPhoto online. photos, negatives, and slides start at just $.28 a piece. VHS and MiniDV’s are just $14.95 each and you can get an extra copy for just $4.95! The best part? You pay nothing now! You only pay when your order is ready to be shipped back to you!

Hi! I haave a big box of slide containers from trips my parents and I took while I was growing up. It’s really a pain to have to click on each slisde to see it and it would be great to put these all on a dvd.
Jackie
My grandmother recently passed away and we have various videos of her and my grandfather that we would like to convert to DVD so we can share them with their now 8 great grand children.
Jennifer Churchill
My husbands parents & grandparents all lived in Panama on the base there. His Grandfather designed several of the government buildings. They moved back to the states when he was 6. 90% of their pictures are all on slides and I am so worried of them fading and yellowing before I can afford to have them all converted. Our son is 9 and both of my husbands parents are gone. I want these treasures around for our son as he is most likely the only son to carry on the Churchill name. My in-laws and husband have some of the most beautiful and wonderful memories of Panama and I so want my son to be able to carry on these memories to his children.
This gift certificate would help put the majority of those memories in a safe place for future generations!

I have home movies of when my son was younger that include my grandmother who we lost a few years ago. I would love them not only to remind me of that time in his life, but to be able to watch my grandmother again as we do not have a VHS player.
