Since the moment we stepped out of the theatre after watching Disney’s hit movie, Rapunzel, Lil’ Pea hasn’t stopped talking about it. It was a sweet story of a sheltered girl stepping out into the world and finding true love, and every little girl wants to play out the story of Rapunzel (well, perhaps minus the evil old lady), by dressing up, acting the part, and reliving the story.
With Halloween just around the corner, I had an inkling that Lil’ Pea was going to be set on being Rapunzel and after letting her browse the costumes at www.buycostumes.com, she quickly spotted this beautiful Tangled Rapunzel Lame Deluxe toddler/child costume and was smitten. “But what about the hair?” she asked. We quickly spotted a Tangled – Rapunzel child wig (only $18.99) and added it to our cart, along with a pair of white tights, as she began jumping up and down with excitement.
Now, it’s important that you know just how important dressing up is to Lil’ Pea. This isn’t a “once in a while” occurrence, but rather a “ten times a day” occurrence that happens in our home. If she gets bored of her unending supply of ball gowns, she will focus on her closet, mixing purple tops with yellow bottoms, and creating headbands out of bows, feathers, and anything else she can get her hands on. She is the embodiment of all things girl and we love every moment of it!
We were thrilled when the box arrived on the doorsteps just a few, short days later, and I opened it just as quick as I could. She immediately put it all on, and the hardest part of the whole “dress rehearsal” was getting her to take it off once we ensured that the costume fit. I explained to her that we had to wait for “Mickey’s Halloween Party” in order to properly inaugurate the dress into the royal court of Lil’ Pea, and for days I repeatedly heard “mom, is it time yet”?
When the day finally arrived, we broke out the costumes while at the Disneyland Hotel and from across the room all I could hear was….Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair!
Thank You to BuyCostumes.com for providing Lil’ Pea with her official princess gown and accessories. My thoughts and opinions remain my own.

Aww! It’s always so fun when little ones get excited about dressing up! My daughter used to have a huge stash of dress up gowns as well! Love that wig, too cute 🙂

So cute! That’s the only part about having boys that I feel I miss out on…the costumes my sons are asking for are of the not-as-sweet variety.

That is a great costume wig! Most of the time they look kind of dull and weird, but that one is shiny and pretty.
