Are you a DS fanatic? Nearly everyone in my family is and when Mom Central recently asked us to check out Guitar Hero: On Tour for DS, we jumped on the chance to challenge our inner rock gods! While searching for DS games, I find that many include ALOT of violence and it’s refreshing to find a game that does not include anything other than just good, clean, fun.

Mom Central sent us Guitar Hero® On Tour: Modern Hits and Guitar Hero® On Tour: Decades. Guitar Hero’s Modern Hits version features a set list comprised of 28 master tracks from influential artists including Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Tenacious D, The Strokes and Weezer. The Decades version also features a set list of 28 tracks from artists including Veruca Salt, R.E.M., Blondie, Lynard Skynard and Fall Out Boy. Each game comes equipped with a guitar grip and the stylus is actually a pick!

If you have a real competitive streak in you and are up for a challenge, you and a friend can stream all of the songs between the two DS systems. That means if your hubby is playing Decades and your playing Modern Hits, you can instantly battle one another and use either of the game’s music (via live stream) to play in battle mode.

It was nearly impossible to get the games away from my 12 and 14 year old nieces as they battled against each other to find out who would reign as the ultimate rock goddess. It was fun to watch them get into it and I loved listening to the music. The pick stylus allows for realistic play and allows you to get a little more into the role. It’s a fun game for the whole family with alot of really great music. We are thinking of having a living room rock out challenge, where I know I know I’ll reign over my husband as the ultimate Guitar Hero rock goddess!
