A little about the Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery…
The Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery allows little bakers to create an elaborate two-tiered fondant cake in 30 seconds! Just add water to one of the delicious cake flavors, stir and pour into the double cavity cake molds, then place into the microwavable safe container and microwave for 30 seconds. Decorate and your done! The Cake Bakery set includes a motorized gel decorator, decorating gel, decorating utensils, 2 delectable cake mixes featuring Chocolate and Vanilla, Red, Blue and Yellow fondants, bowl, spoon, cutters, non-stick pad, candy, tool caddy, and instructions.
Important note: The Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery ingredients are wheat and gluten free, trans-fat free, and are produced in a nut-free facility in the U.S. Those who suffer from Celiac and nut allergies are now able to safely participate in the art of baking with Girl Gourmet!
We love it!
We had the opportunity to try it out and we had so much fun! Big Pea was able to make most of the cake by herself and being that she’s only four, I was impressed by that! She mixed the cake mixture and placed it into the microwaveable cake molds and in 30 seconds we had cake! We then mixed the fondant, which surprisingly was much easier to work with than I had anticipated. The fondant is much like Play Doh and Big Pea rolled the fondant flat and we placed it over both tiers of the cake. We then used various colors of fondant to cut out shapes with the included fondant cutters and we set out to decorate! I think Big Pea enjoyed the air-powered gel decorator gun the most and with that we were able to create small-pearl like dots and beautiful lines using the decorating turn table, just like the pros!
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided we needed to do this at least once a week, I mean what’s wrong with cake once a week, right?
The Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery was fun, easy and created a bonding experience for Big Pea and I. We worked together and created a masterpiece! Just look at our creation…impressive isn’t it? We will definitely be purchasing a few of these for friends this Christmas and I have a feeling that Jakks Pacific has hit another home-run with the Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery!
