As a child, I loved Strawberry Shortcake! It was the one toy that was always accompanied by a sweet smell. It was always the same smell, the smell that will forever be known as the “Strawberry Shortcake” smell and one I would never forget. Many, many years later (Oh my word), my girls are now fascinated with Strawberry Shortcake and as I unpacked the Strawbery Shortcake’s Berry Cafe, that same smell flooded my senses and took me back to my childhood. Amazing how just a smell can take you all the way back!

Oh My! We have an opinion….
The nice folks at Hasbro sent my girls the Strawberry Shortcake Berry Cafe and the girls couldn’t wait to tear into the package. I think the sweet smell got them excited right off and with all of the tiny treats to play with and place where they would like, they were ready for play. It’s important to remember that these pieces are very small and there is quite a few of them, so do not let little one’s under 3 years of age or those who like to place objects in their mouth, play with this set. I think the bird was the biggest hit. Big Pea loved placing Strawberry Shortcake on top and watching them spin around and around. Lil’ Pea just watched and laughed as Big Pea manipulated all of the little pieces. The girls played with this for quite some time, I would say well over an hour before taking a break. So bonus points for holding my girls attention, which is a hard thing to do these days.
Who to buy this for….
Little girls ages 3 and up due to the many small pieces that accompany this set.
