I hope you all had an amazing Father’s Day and I bet you were scratching your heads when it was time to search for that special gift for dad…I know I was! After all, dad’s are Very Important People and without them, us mom’s would be the one’s frog fishing in the backyard mud pit and attempting to put together the kids new bed… which might I add is more difficult than it looks!
If you visit us on a regular basis, chances are you really like me like to find a good deal and if your anything like me , chances are your shopping at the last minute…not such a good time to find a great deal! But alas, there is a diamond in the rough, a gem amongst us all year long and one you may have never considered… TJ Maxx and Marshalls!
I cannot tell you how many deals I have scored at both TJ Maxx and Marshalls over the past few years, and primarily these deals have been due to my last minute shopping rush! Both stores carry a large array of name brand items at a fraction of the cost! Take for instance this pair of Birkenstock Gizeh Sandals that retail for $130. A shopper recently found these at Marshalls for just $40!
Our girls know that their daddy loves Ralph Lauren Polo shirts, so as we walked into Marshall’s recently they went straight for the men’s clothing department to hunt for a shirt he would love. I’m always surprised to see the multiple colors and sizes available and we always seem to find that “perfect” item. As some of you may know, Polo shirts are quite pricey and typically well over $100, so when Big Pea found that special shirt I was nearly jumping up and down when I looked at the price tag… just $39.99!!!!!!! When she asked if we could buy “this one”, I believe my response went a little something like this: “YES! Yes you may AND not only can you buy this for daddy, you can find something else”… how often do you get a chance to say that to the kids?
While we were there, we stopped by the toy department (insert eye rolling here) and I was delighted to see they carried toys for babies, toddlers and children of all ages. The children’s clothing department is right next to the toy department, so I decided to get my fix take a look and see what I could find. I found everything from high end boutique items (OMG) to name brand items such as Ralph Lauren Baby, Carters, Paul Frank and more. Let’s just say I got my fix walked out with a large bag full!
Both Marshall’s and TJ Maxx have many, many items that would be perfect for that special someone or for yourself! From clothing to shoes, toys to handbags, your sure to find a sweet deal at TJ Maxx and Marshalls!
