Zoodles: Safely Entertain and Educate your Children Online!

Our Big Pea (age 5 1/2) loves to play computer games! She’s already very computer savvy, an asset I believe will help her tremendously as she grows older. However, I’m always leery of her being online without my direct supervision so she doesn’t get the opportunity to play as often as she would like, which is truly a shame! This is where the new web browser, Zoodles comes in!

What is Zoodles?
Zoodles is a FREE kids browser that allows children to safely and independently explore their own virtual playground filled with hundreds of age appropriate games, puzzles, and videos, chosen by education experts!  As your child grows, Zoodles grows with them, continually adapting the content to the child’s age.

How it Works
Zoodles is completely Free to download with the option to purchase a premium membership that allows parent to guide their children’s experience.  Parents can customize the content, subjects, set time limits, and more all through the parents dashboard.  You must download the Zoodles browser, which is a quick and easily installation taking less than two minutes!  Before you download the browser, Zoodles will ask you a number of questions so that you have complete control over the content your child can access ( I thought this was FABULOUS)!  Once the browser has been downloaded, children can begin to explore their customized playground and choose from hundreds of activities that you can rest assured are age appropriate and more importantly safe!

Designed with Kids in Mind
The browser is very kid-friendly and Big Pea had absolutely no issues navigating her way through the browser.  The graphics are primarily child oriented and are large and easy for children to grasp.  The chosen age-appriopriate activities were engaging, interactive and educational.  She noticed many of her favorite Disney and PBS characters among others and she was thrilled that mom was willing to hand over the laptop and let her play on her own!

Designed with Parents in Mind
Parents cannot only control what their children have access to and set time limits through the Parent Dashboard, but they can also get involved and play along using the Parent Play-along mode.  With the Parent Play-along mode, parents can the text titles of games and enjoy unrestricted access to Zoodles approved games and websites.  Parents will also receive weekly activity emails that include information on what your child has been learning and playing.  You’ll have the opportunity to see new friends they have met, their top ten favorite school subjects and if they’ve been watching too many videos!  My favorite feature of the parent dashboard is that I can promote certain subjects such as math or reading!
