We recently had the opportunity to take the new Inglesina Avio stroller for a little test drive. I often find that stylish strollers, such as the Avio, lack convenience, and finding both style and convenience wrapped up into one package is more difficult than one would think. If you’ve had your fill of compromising in one department or another, you may want to consider the Avio as baby’s next ride…..
The Inglesina Avio stroller is the new generation stroller. The avant-garde design created by clear and light lines, the high performance delivered on different terrain and the highly desirable compact size make it the stroller par excellence for city life. Developed explicitly to be fully configurable, Avio is equipped with a wide range of optional extras allowing multi-choice accessorizing to satisfy specific and particular needs. This lightweight stroller features a large storage basket for a
Out of the box, this stroller came with a few pieces that need to be assembled, including the seat, basket and hood. The instruction manual, however, was easy to follow with it’s multiple pictures.
The Up and Down Jenga
When purchasing a stroller, the first thing you should look at is the fold. If the fold isn’t simple and takes more than just a few seconds…move on! The Inglesina Avio Stroller, Fuchsia offers a sophisticated 3D fold, that opens and folds with just one hand. With a simple push of a button and a pull upwards, the Avio’s fold is what I would consider compact for a luxury stroller, although takes a few tries to get used to, and I did struggle with it a bit. Unfolding the stroller is even simpler, with just a push of a button and a pull, your on your way!

Our Thoughts
The Inglesina Avio stroller offers a stylish ride for baby, while at the same time offering convenience for busy parents. With a wide and padded seat, the Avio’s ball bearing wheels and jointed push handle, make one-handed pushing a breeze. The 4-position seat recline ensures that baby remains comfortable and the additional hood flap keeps baby safe from the elements.
The most impressive feature of the Avio, however, is it’s narrow frame. We have always had a hard time pushing our previous strollers between our two cars in the garage and the Avio zipped right through! Parents can rest assured that they can easily and quickly zip in and out of stores, isles and subways. Parents will also appreciate the optional carrycot for infants, and that this stroller is compatible with infant car seats, including Graco, Peg Perego and Britax.
Although, the fold on the Avio is not as compact as an umbrella stroller, I was impressed with the small fold compared to other luxury strollers. I must admit that the fold takes a little time to get used to, and although this stroller could eventually be folded with just one hand, it’s going to take a little practice!

Wow. It looks nice! That being said, $500! Holy crap. I’m all about great stuff for our kids, but there MUST be something out there that is a better deal than a $500 stroller. I mean, for $500 I’d like it to tote the baby around and make me a fancy cup of coffee!
Stacie @ The Divine Miss Mommy
Looks like a great stroller.

Terrific review! Thanks for the info.

Even though $499 seems a lot, the reality is that with AVIO you are buying made-in-Italy VALUE for years to come.
