Is There Really a Safe Pain Relief Treatment for Children?

Any parent can tell you that bumps, bruises, scrapes and stings, are just a part of the job.  It’s a typical occurrence in our home, for our 3-year old to repeatedly jump off household objects in an attempt to be a Pegasus (yes…a pegasus), and yes she gets hurt every time.  Looking at it in a positive light, I consider us to be very lucky that we have yet to face a broken bone, or a mid-day hospital visit.

When it comes to minor aches and pains (and the occasional, attempted Pegasus plot), parents want to offer as much relief as possible, after all, it’s what we do best.  As a parent myself, I typically reach for over the counter children’s pain relief medicine that typically resembles blue sludge.  OK, so it’s filled with blue dye, and I have no idea what’s really inside of it, but it makes them feel better and in the moment, that’s all that really matters.  However, after the recent recall of a number of brand name products from a major pharmaceutical company, parents are beginning to take a closer look at what their putting in those tiny little bodies, myself included. So, it’s only natural for the question to arise…

Is there really a safe pain relief treatment for children?

According to 65-year old decorated Marine corps helicopter combat and rescue crew chief, Lou Paradise, the answer is YES!  Lou has introduced an all-natural pain relief cream, Topricin Junior, formulated just for kids!

Topricin Junior

Topricin Junior Pain Relief and Healing Cream is specially formulated for children with a soothing combination of homeopathic biomedicines to rapidly relieve pain while helping the body to heal thee damage that is causing the pain.   Odorless and grease-less, the paraben and petroleum-free formula treats pain associated with a wide range of children’s pain issues, including injuries, bruises and sprains, cramps and muscle aches, bug bites and minor burns, eczema, and overall growing pains.  Topricin Junior does not contain any of the hazardous active ingredients fount in many OTC oral pain medications, such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen, and uses no volatile oils such as camphor, menthol, and other irritating chemicals used in most OTC topical analgesics.  2010 winner of the Parent Tested, Parent Approved seal of Approval, parents can use Topricin Junior in confidence, knowing it’s completely safe and effective.

Our Thoughts
A few weeks ago we received a tube of Topricin Junior to try out. The good news (or bad for him) is that DH had a horrible bug bite that was driving him nuts, so I threw the tube his way. He laughed and said “um honey, this is for kids”. I laughed back, with a snarky grin and said “well that’s all your getting, so give it a shot”! We were both shocked that within a minute, the itching was gone. No, really…gone! Truth be told, I wasn’t expecting it to work, especially on such a horrible bug bite. However, I’m here to tell you that it did, and I’m thrilled that we now use an all-natural pain reliever in our house! I have yet to try it with the kiddos (knock on wood, we have not had any recent pegasus flying attempts), however I will be putting it to work the next time we do!

Topricin Junior retails for $12.99 and can be purchased along with it’s sister products, Topricin Pain Relief and Healing Cream and Topricin Foot Therapy Cream, at their online store or at the following retailers:
