Monsters University tells the story of how Mike and Sulley meet at University whilst just starting out in college.
Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) has long dreamed of being a scarer and hopes that his academic talent will take him to the top of the class. James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (John Goodman) relies more on his natural talent as a Scarer and doesn’t think he really needs to pay much attention to class. One for all the family Pixar has created one of their best movies to date.
One of the things that we always look for is the quality of the bonus material on any movie release, particularly one from Pixar and we are very excited about the Monsters University DVD. The bonus material includes the amazing “The Blue Umbrella” short film, and what “Campus Life” is like in the eyes of a Pixar production crew member and much more!
When we went to see the movie at first we thought that The Blue Umbrella wasn’t even animation and wondered why it was a Pixar short! But of course that is a testament to just how advanced and spectacular the Pixar animation technology and team now are. It looked so real and the story was so simple but absolutely enchanting.
