Toys, toys and more toys! When my first daughter was born I think I cleared out one of everything from our local toy store, literally. Want to talk about toy overload! She had electronic toys, baby dolls, plastic food, baby video games and the list goes on and on and on. However, what I found was that 95% of them she did not gravitate towards. She always tended to go back to the wooden toys, you know the one’s with no bells and whistles! She wanted the wooden dowels that you could pound with the wooden hammer and the wooden shape sorters and puzzles.
With my second daughter I went about toy shopping a little smarter! Wooden, wooden and more wooden and any toy that didn’t constantly shout or sing to her was a welcome friend. Even more so than Big Pea, Lil’ Pea was into toys that were simple! Toys that she could manipulate with good old kid power!
