I recently read a wonderful review about Guidecraft children’s furniture and found myself drooling by the end of the article. As time went on, I would spot the likes of this furniture and say to myself “wow, someone put some serious time into that”! The furniture is hand-painted and every piece is themed, making this mama quickly search for a company name so that I could shop myself silly! Guidecraft was the name that continued to repeat itself through multiple products and I found myself browsing their website over and over again, making a list of every piece I was swooning over!

About Guidecraft
Guidecraft began in 1964 with one man..in one wood shop! In 1995 this woodworker’s son purchased the company and has developed the company that started out producing about 10 products, to now including over 580 educational products and furnishings. As the company celebrates their 46th birthday, their mission remains the same: “stay true to the tradition of smart, beautifully crafted wood products, which allow children’s minds and imaginations room to truly wonder and grow”.

Isn’t it lovely? The Noah’s Ark Table & Chairs feature Noah’s ark and his animals, beautifully hand carved and hand painted throughout. The center of the table features a removable panel that when removed offers a storage bag that can hold everything from dinosaurs to Lego’s!

Our Experience
I’m not sure who was more excited when the box showed up from Guidecraft…me or the kids! We quickly opened the box to display multiple pieces of hand painted wood and a bag of screws. The table & chair set was packaged very neatly and appropriately with plenty of packing material surround the pieces to ensure that it would arrive safe and sound.

Assembly
I was too excited to wait for my husband to put it together, so I jumped right in and began matching screws to pieces. I immediately noticed that this furniture was high quality as every piece I picked up was heavy and solid. The assembly process is easy, the directions simple to follow and should take about 20-30 minutes to assemble the table and two chairs as there are quite a few parts.

Center Storage Area
The first feature I noticed was the circular storage area in the middle of the table. The middle of the table sports a circular wooden top that when removed reveals a storage bag! Both of my girls are huge Lego fans and once the table was assembled, I grabbed their Lego’s and tossed them inside the storage bag. Now let me just tell you that this feature is priceless! I typically walk into our playroom to find Lego’s all over the floor and now…oh the beauty of it…they can sit at their table, play with their Lego’s and when their done, they simply shove them bag into the middle of the table, replace the top and mom doesn’t have to step on them anymore!!!! Thank You Guidecraft!

Easy to Clean and Maintain
With children come messes..it’s just part of the process! When mealtime or play time is over, simply grab a damp sponge, wipe the table down and your ready for the next mess!
