Happy 40th Anniversary Little Tikes: Review & Giveaway

Little Tikes has been around for as long as I can remember. Little Tikes toys are rugged and sturdy, and I’m thrilled that my girls now have the opportunity to include Little Tikes int heir daily play. This Year is a special year for Little Tikes, as it marks the 40th Anniversary of the Company! Does this mean we are getting old?

Little Tikes Backyard BBQ

A new addition to the Little Tikes line is the Little Tikes Backyard Barbeque “Get out and grill”! This indoor/outdoor gas barbeque grill inspires children to head outside, enjoy the beautiful spring weather, and cook up a few burgers just like mom and dad. The set includes multiple fun features and 8 accessories:

– sink and side burner

2- clickable starter button and side knobs

– a hamburger and bun

– hot dog and bun

– tongs, spatula, and even a ketchup bottle

– towel bar for easy clean up

– 2 door storage cabinet

Our Experience
The weather is heating up here in sunny California and we have been on the lookout for outdoor toys that will inspire the girls imagination. You can imagine my girls excitement when the Backyard Barbeque showed up, and dad went right to work putting it together. Assembly took about 10 minutes and came with a sticker sheet to deck out the grill and make it as real as possible. The push button starter makes a clicking noise, as does the side knobs. The lid moves up and down so that the kids can really feel like their making some tasty treats, and the grill also features a 2 door storage area underneath where all parts can be stored when play time is over! Mom likes that part!

The grill had the girls busy cooking hot dogs and burgers for mom and dad for a good hour or so, and they wanted to move it from inside of the house to outside, so that they could cook under the warm glow of the sun. Recent friends who have visited head straight for the barbeque and it’s a favorite with all! The Backyard Barbeque does not make any loud, battery operated noises and this mama likes that feature! This barbeque encourages role play and use of one’s own imagination, such as grilled shoes!?!?
