Do you have a family movie night? Have you ever thought of having one? To be quite honest with you this is not something we have planned and thought out in the past. Sure, we’ve gathered on the couch as a family and watched our fair share of movies, however we have never actually had an all out family movie night with all the trimmings! So were taking the opportunity to plan a family movie night with the upcoming premier of Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally premiere, premiering September 7th at 7pm ET/PT!
Family Movie Night
In celebration of the upcoming and highly anticipated Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally, premiering September 7th, we were sent a family movie night kit that included 4 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed placemats, 4 sticker sheets and a Family Night dry erase calendar to plan future family movie nights. The girls have already had multiple meals with the Family Movie Night placemats and I anticipate many more meals to come. Although I hinted to use the included stickers on the placemats, the girls opted to stick them on sheets of paper, creating masterpieces that are now hanging on the refrigerator.
We have a really fun night planned for the premier of Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally, but first let me tell you about the upcoming full length adventure…
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally (Premiers 9/7/2010)
In “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally,” Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, along with Clubhouse pals Toodles, Pete, Clarabelle Cow, and Chip and Dale embark on the first annual Clubhouse road rally. The friends selects their favorite mode of transportation, with Goofy getting the opportunity to ride in Professor Von Drake’s latest invention, the Clubhouse Rescue Truck. The race kicks into high gear, leading the gang on a journey through sandy desserts, snow-covered mountains and lush tropical jungles in search of clues. During the race, Toodles feels unappreciated when the Rescue Truck gets all the praise for helping out, and he sadly leaves the group just when he’s needed most. It is up to Mickey and pals to reunite the team and make it to the finish line.
On September 7th at 7pm ET/PT, we will be parked on the couch and ready to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally premier! I recently visited the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse website to get some ideas of how to coordinate our family movie night and I hope these ideas will help you coordinate your family movie night as well!
Kid Friendly Recipes
The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse website had some fabulous kid-friendly recipes to incorporate into your family movie night, such as the “Mickey Park Cheese and Fruit Plate” (pictured below), incorporating apples and cheddar cheese, sure to be a hit! Additionally recipes including “Road Rally Race Flags”, “Mickey’s Markers”, and “Pluto’s Veggie Skateboards” are sure to be a fun addition to your family movie night!
Family Night Printables
By visiting the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse website, you’ll also find plenty of printable activities including games, coloring sheets, placemats, personalized license plates and more! I think it would be fun to do a different themed activity every night leading up to the premiere! This is a great way to get the kids excited about family movie night and spending the evening together as a family.
Road Rally Raceway Game
Get ready to race with the Clubhouse Road Rally Raceway game where everyone’s a winner! Count along with Mickey and his friends as you race your way through a virtual board game! Let your children put their quick thinking skills to work as they navigate through the game in an effort to help Mickey and his friends win the race!
Now your prepared and you have some great ideas to get started on your own family movie night! Remember that Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally premiers on September 7th at 7pm ET/PT and you can find all of the above mentioned recipes, games and activities by visiting PlayhouseDisney.com!

I have thought about family movie night. We’ve done that a few times and it was fine, however, we always lose track of the nights.

I love Mickey Mouse! And like you, we don’t have a set/planned family movie night but I will schedule a few. Would be fun to cuddle and have popcorn or something like that. But the girls say that my homemade popcorn sucks LOL
