I despise the grocery store! No really..not just a little bit…more than a normal person should. If your a mom of more than one child, like myself, you know that going to the grocery store is alot of work and not particularly enjoyable. Our shopping trips sound a little something like this “sit down..why did you take your buckles off?..don’t grab that…put that back…we don’t touch things that don’t belong to us…no you can’t have ice cream or cookies or candy or that People magazine that for some odd reason has the Backyardigans on it”! You getting my point here? Me..no likey!
So naturally, when I found out that Vons has a home grocery delivery service and that I could actually SAVE money using it, I jumped at the chance to use it! The first time I used Vons home delivery service was about a year ago when I was down in my back and my husband was working 18 hours a day. It was impossible for me to go to the grocery store with 2 kids in tow and rather than ask someone to put themselves out and perform the daunting task for me, I decided to give their home delivery service a try.
The Ordering Process
This is really quite simple. You just visit www.vons.com and click on “grocery delivery”. You will then be directed to Safeways online store, where you can search for products by isle, name, online savings (such as B1G1 Free, Club Card Specials and Promo code deals) or access your “Express List” if you have shopped with them before. Now because I am Mrs. “Shops-alot”, once my virtual cart was loaded, I immediately searched for coupon codes and you wouldn’t believe what I found! I found a number of coupon codes that could not only save me money on the specific products that I was purchasing, but I also found coupon codes that scored me FREE food and FREE Delivery! Once your done with the checkout process, a personal shopper goes to work shopping for you! Ahhhh Bliss!
The Delivery
I chose a delivery time for the following day when I knew I would be home and awaited my arrival. I opened the door to find a very nice delivery man that didn’t want to just throw some bags at me, he actually asked if I would like them placed on the kitchen counter! Wowza! The groceries were icy cold as if he just took them off the shelf and neatly packed inside the bags. I then looked over my bill and ensured that I had recieved all of my proper discounts and off he went! Easy? Oh yea!
Final Thoughts
I will continue to use Vons home grocery delivery service and highly suggest you give it a try too! The service is simple, convenient and can actually save you money when you combine product discounts and coupon codes. Additionally, you do not have to sign up for a Vons club card to shop online. You’ll automatically receive club card discounts while shopping online!
Now it’s time for me to save YOU some money…

Shop with Me Mama
I went to their site and registered, but how do I find out if they deliver in my area? I looked everywhere but don’t see? This would be ideal for us, home delivered groceries! I NEED this!

@Shopwithmemama There’s a little box on the left hand screen that says “just browsing” and asks for your zip code. Input your zip code and if they don’t deliver in your area then it will notify you. Hope this helps!
