PureZone Personal Air Filtration System Review & Giveaway

You are here: Home / Reviews / Giveaways / PureZone Personal Air Filtration System Review & Giveaway

September 14, 2010 //  by admin//  313 Comments

My husband suffers daily from allergies and many days his allergies are so bad that it’s hard for him to even function properly.  The really unfortunate reality of his allergies is that many decongestants do nothing for him and the only medication he gets any type of relief from is Benadryl.  The Benadryl may calm down his allergies, however it turns him into a zombie and it’s just a terrible way to live.  Of course, it doesn’t help that we live in the valley and we have a dust bowl surrounding us, either.  After years of suffering and me begging him to find alternate routes of relieving his allergy system, we were given the opportunity to give the PureZone Personal Air Filtration System a try.

What is PureZone System?
PureZone is a novel allergen blocker and air purifier that delivers asthma and allergy relief. The air we breathe is full of irritants that can trigger asthma and allergy symptoms. These allergens are even more concentrated and harmful indoors than outdoors. Until now, the most effective solution was to remove every last allergen source from their homes or bedrooms. This difficult and expensive option forced sufferers to choose between living with their allergies or living without the things they loved. But now there’s the PureZone personal air filtration system. It relieves both allergy and asthma symptoms and promotes restful sleep without requiring you to change your lifestyle.

How it Works
The PureZone system comes equipped with a small square unit with a HEPA filter. The unit is then connected to a pillowcase that encompasses your own pillow. Once the PureZone unit is turned on, bedroom air then enters the fan and purified air passes through the pillowcase, creating an allergen-free breathing zone while your sleeping!

The PureZone system is much different than a room HEPA filter because this unit fully encompasses your breathing zone, where room filters do not. In fact, clinical trials show room HEPA filters and dust mite encasement provide no benefit in home treatment of allergies or asthma. No wonder everything we’ve tried, hasn’t worked! As you can imagine, we were thrilled when the PureZone system showed up at our door and it came at just the right time, as my husband was on day 3 of a horrible allergy attack. If it was going to work, this was time to put it to the test and see the results the following morning.

First Impressions
The PureZone was beautifully packaged in a much smaller box than I had anticipated. Once the pillowcase was washed, we had three options of setting the unit up: bedside set up, floor or under mattress. We chose to use the under mattress set up which was super fast and easy.  We simply attach a slide-in plate that sits right in between the two mattresses. The PureZone system has three fan settings and three heat setting, allowing users to customize their experience while their sleeping. On board controls, as well as an attached remote control, allow for easy usability while in the lying down position and the remote magnetically secures to the side of the unit. Most importantly the PureZone system is not loud and the sound it produces is very soothing and lulled us right to sleep! It is important to note that we are used to sleeping with white noise, so the gently sound the PureZone unit provided was a sound we were already accustom to.

The Results
We saw a remarkable improvement in his allergy symptoms by the following morning! Many mornings he awakes with a horrible headache and the uncontrollable urge to sneeze repeatedly. His eyes are typically red and he looks as if he hasn’t slept at all. After one night using the PureZone system, he was rather impressed, to say the least….and so was I! He has continued to use the PureZone system and we have continued to see a steady improvement in his allergy symptoms.

Final Thoughts
The PureZone system holds up to it’s name and we saw a remarkable change in Daddy J’s allergy symptoms. With allergies as bad as Daddy J has them, it’s a welcome surprise to see the PureZone system really produce some results, because so many other’s have provided no relief at all. Daddy J did said he felt a little dry in the morning, however I think this is to be expected when you are encompassed by air all night. Daddy J continues to use the PureZone system and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with you!

I learned that the Bedroom environment is the greatest source of allergens in the home. As an allergy sufferer I can relate to your husband. Some days, I am so groggy from allergies it’s hard to function at work.

According to medterms.com, an allergen is a substance that can trigger an allergic reaction in the body. There are countless allergens present in our world, from penicillin to pollen to peanuts. However, in this entry we’ll focus on airborne allergens – substances so light they can be carried through air currents. There are four common airborne allergens – Dust Mites, Pets Dander, Pollen, and Indoor Mold.

I learned that Our bodies’ natural defenses are impaired at night and Bedroom environments are the greatest source of allergensin the home. That is troubling because we spend most of our time in the bedroom and sleep quite a bit. (well we try) This system looks impressive! Even with the PureZone System, it is beneficial to bar the pet from the bedroom. We spend most of our time indoors in the bedroom: Keep animals out. To further prevent allergen accumulation, it is advisable to remove the biggest pet dander allergen reservoir in the home – carpeting. It can also be helpful to wash bedding in hot water to remove trapped dander.

from their blog i learned Asthma alone accounts for about 10 million absences from school each year as well as tens of thousands of ER visits- most often in the middle of the night! All those kids with runny noses and itchy eyes continue to get bombarded even when they’re tucked in their beds hoping to rest up for the challenges of the next day. Drug therapies combined allergen avoidance is the standard of care but it gets complicated to follow all the steps that are often recommended – if it all sounds overwhelming you can start with just controlling the breathing zone around your pillow!

I learned that typical room HEPA filters and dust mite encasement provide no benefit in home treatment of allergies or asthma, according to clinical research – that’s very surprising, and even better reason to trust the effectiveness of the PureZone. Thanks!
