I’m two weeks into the Total Gym Total Mom Challenge and although I thought this process would be filled with pain and apprehension, I’m thrilled to say that I look forward to my workouts and I truly love the burn. To be honest with you, I certainly didn’t think I would ever get to a place in my life where I look forward to workouts, but with the Total Gym I do.
I think it helps that I can get a complete workout in about 15 minutes flat and move on to the next part of my day. When I first began using the Total Gym, I was sporadically working out at different times of the day, however I now workout first thing in the morning and have found that my morning workouts give me energy throughout the rest of the day. I also try and get in 30 minutes of cardio, 3 times a week.
Last week I didn’t mention that I fell in love with a fabulous pair of Paige Denim Jeans that I found on Hautelook, however when I went to buy them they were out of my size, so I bought one size smaller than I currently wear. Even at Hautelook they were crazy pricey, but I figured it would give me extra motivation to get in shape and lose inches and pounds…I know a little crazy, but aren’t they fabulous?
My goal is to get in those in the next few weeks! For the past two weeks I have been following the Starter Program Guide, which is a small pamphlet of sorts filled with 15 different exercises and pictures of each, so you don’t do them incorrectly. The starter program is designed as a circuit training program to maximize cardio and strength. There’s no rest in between and it says to start out with 15 reps each.
Oh but who needs 15 reps 2 weeks in, I’m now at 25 reps and it feels so good! Oh and did I forget to mention that I lost 3.4 lbs? *Insert happy dance here*
Week 2 Measurements:
Height – 5’7″
Weight – 149.4 (-3.4 lbs)
Waist – 31″ (-1″)
Hips – 39 1/2″ (-1/2″)
Bust – 35 1/2″
Arms – 11′ (-1/4″)
Thigh – 21 3/4″ (-1/4″)
BMI – 23.3 (-.6)
Week 2 Results: -3.4 lbs and -2″ lost!
I’m going to call this week a success!
