I think everyone knows what Ovaltine is and just about everyone remembers the “rich chocolatey” Ovaltine commercials that came on the TV in our younger years. However, it wasn’t until about a year ago that I actually bought a canister of Ovaltine because the grocery store was out of my favorite brand of chocolate milk mix. The front of the canister stated that it was fortified with 12 vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin A, Vitamin B12, Magnesium and Zinc. I was hopeful and secretly wishing that the kids would love it!
Lil’ Pea still likes her milk, however Big Pea could take it or leave it. Milk is an important part of a healthy diet and finding ways to get her to drink it was important to me. I added 4 Tablespoons of Chocolate Ovaltine to an 8 oz. glass of milk and handed it to her to try. She was hesitant at first, but after taking a drink her eyes opened wide and she was surprised to say the least. She loved it! So I decided to give it a try and OMG this stuff is like heaven in a can. I love Malt, so the next time I was at the store I picked up a canister of Ovaltine’s Chocolate Malt and I think it was even better. It’s nice when you find those little things that you just feel good about.

I don’t currently ovaltine – been a very long time. I would try the chocolate malt first!
I have thought about getting this for my daughter! It’s so expensive though. She is picky about her milk and wont always drink it and is a picky eater sometimes as well. I would like to get the Chocolate Malt for her to try!

I love Ovaltine & hooked my husband on it too! We drink the Classic Malt flavor because of my allergy to the chocolate ingredients.
I just bought some for the first time this week. My daughter has been asking (okay, demanding) hot chocolate from Starbucks. I gave her hot Ovaltine (rich chocolate) with some whipped cream on top instead and she LOVED it.
We use Ovaltine…it is just about the only way I can ensure that my son gets some vitamins in him! He loves the Chocolate milk flavor or the rich chocolate flavor. he has at least one cup of milk with ovaltine mixed in everyday!

Yes, I Ovaltine! The best part of all… same great taste as chocolate milk ~ only no caffeine! My favorite is the Chocolate Malt … I’ve been tempted to try the Classic Malt, but haven’t yet. 🙂

I love the Malt. One of my favorite parts of the movie “A Christmas Story” is Ralphie locked up in the bathroom with his secret decoder ring and the code turns out to be “DRINK MORE OVALTINE!”…lol.
