Hostess has recently teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to celebrate the release of Shrek Ever After on DVD and Blu-Ray with the introduction of gingerbread spice Donettes! The New Donettes feature special packaging with the unforgettable character, Gingy, and cherry sweet rolls featuring the smooth talking dealmaker “Rumpelstiltskin”! Other varieties of Hostess Donettes are also available and include Shrek-themed packaging with your favorite characters like Shrek, Donkey and Puss In Boots.
We had the opportunity to try the new gingerbread spice Donettes and I can very reluctantly tell you that the bag was gone within 24 hours and I didn’t have anyone assisting me in the intake of these tiny little gems! But, shhhhhhh….don’t tell anyone!

I like the powdered donut variety.
I have always been a HUGE Hostess fan. What makes me mad is that they used to make these really awesome donuts that were the white powdered sugar on the outside and had raspberry filling. I think they were called Donut-O’s.
I won’t be trying the gingerbread ones, but I do like the powdered sugar ones.
