We recently had the opportunity to experience a one-of-a-kind event that any Thomas lover would adore! A Day Out With Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 is a fun-filled and exciting way for children and adults to enter the world of Thomas, meet his trusty friends, including everyone’s favorite, Sir Topham Hat. The tour is officially in full swing, and making stoops in more than 45 cities in the United States and Canada!
Our six year old daughter has adored Thomas and all of his railway pals since she was very small, and it was exciting to see her face when she saw Thomas himself right in front of her. The colorful engine, along with Sir Topham Hat were there for guests to enjoy, while mom and dad enjoyed some tasty treats at the very large food and snack area.
We boarded the train pulled by the #1 engine himself, and set off for a 20 minute ride through the California terrain. The girls were even deemed “Official Engineer’s” with a fun certificate that they could color later. When our train ride was over, we headed to the multiple activity stations to have a little fun. The activity stations included a temporary tattoo station, multiple train boards, live animals and reptiles, bounce houses, a hay maze, and even a giant Thomas store!
We were impressed with how the activities were laid out, and how easy was for parents to maneuver from one activity to the next. They had a large number of restrooms in between the activity stations, and if you are a parent of a small child, you know what a great feature this is! The staff was very nice and helpful, and there was enough to food to appease the entire town! Most importantly, our girls had SO much fun!
We loved our Day Out with Thomas and we think you will too!

Shoot, I missed Thomas! I’ve been meaning to take my daughter to Day Out With Thomas. Hopefully we can catch this next year. Looks like it would be so much fun for the kiddos.
