Did you know that Sears is making a big effort in supporting our troops? I have to be honest, i do not like to shop at sears. A- because i simply do not like the store and B- because i think their customer service is in serious need of an “Extreme Makeover”! These of course are just my thoughts… However, i think you all should know how they are making an effort to support our troops.
If a employee of Sears is called to duty, by law, they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up.
Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years.
Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution. Just wanted to pass this bit of information on as i believe it’s so important to support the men and women who keep us safe as we are dreaming away each night.
