Some of you may have seen the “Pray for Kayleigh” button that has been on my sidebar for some time now. I was touched by Kayleigh’s story months ago while visiting the Freeman’s blog. Kayleigh, otherwise known as “the one pound blessing” was born 3 months premature and was only 10 1/2 inches long and 1 lbs 1 oz at birth. Her parents have since been on a roller coaster ride, spending their days in the Nicu and loving on their precious little miracle.
I paid a visit to the Freeman’s blog this morning and found that Kayleigh passed on May 11th and her memorial is today. In memory of this precious little miracle, I will not be posting anything more until tomorrow. My tears, my prayers and my heart are with the Freeman’s and will continue to be with them as they must continue their journey on this earth without their precious Kayleigh. A beautiful life that touched so many in just a small 11 months here on earth and gave her parents and everyone who was touched by her a joy that cannot be explained.
