Many of you know that we have been house hunting recently, and when you start the process of hunting, you have to know exactly what you want. As we began the process there were a few firm requests that we weren’t willing to waver on, one being a large covered patio. I love being outdoors, and have always wanted to set up an area for comfortable outdoor furniture. We had other ideas in mind too, including a 3-car garage, 4 bedrooms, and a descent sized backyard.
After searching the market for the last few months, we have not only wavered on our “firm requests”, but we have even added a few new ones. Although a 3-car garage would be wonderful, we are willing to settle on a 2-car garage home if the home has other amenities that are more important to us. Although we live in the desert where it gets close to 115 deg. in the summer time, a pool was not high on our list. Strange, I know! However, as the heat of the summer approaches, our “firm requests” now include a swimming pool!
House hunting is a funny thing. You go into it with many expectations, only to find that your expectations change as you begin to hunt. We are not looking for the Taj Mahal, but we spend a lot of time at home, and we want something that can grow with us as the years go on. A home where we can enjoy our time as a family, and enjoy a lot of time outdoors. And wouldn’t you know, I just couldn’t “not” shop for the house that I don’t even own yet….. and after running an online search for outdoor sofas and couches, I found this awesome outdoor couch that I HAVE TO HAVE! Do you think it’s wrong to buy the outdoor furniture before the house?
Someone please point me to the nearest shop-aholics meeting. This potential new house is going to get me into a lot of trouble!
